Lalita

The eldest and foremost of the eight, who consoles Radha in separation and arranges the meeting of the divine couple.

Lalita is regarded as the foremost of the Ashtasakhi and the eldest of the eight, said to be 27 days older than Radha. Tradition places her birth in Unchagaon, near Barsana, to her parents Visoka and Saradi.[1]

In the pastimes of Radha and Krishna, it is Lalita's duty to console Radha when she feels the pain of separation and then to arrange for the divine couple to meet.[1] In the Haridasi tradition, Swami Haridas of Vrindavan is said to be an incarnation of Lalita.[1]
